Strategic partner of ISTU celebrates 110th anniversary
	The delegation of ISTU will take part in the celebration of 110th anniversary of Brno University of Technology (BUT), which will be held on September 20-21, 2009.

To plein air in Syria
	This autumn the group of students of the Faculty of Advertising and Design of Izhevsk State Technical University is going to the training to Damascus University (Syria).

Egyptian students completed the training in Izhevsk
	The practical training for the students from Egypt came to an end; it was organized by Izhevsk State Technical University at the plants of the capital of Udmurtia: on 7 September the last group of students from Egypt left Izhevsk.

The new academic building was opened
	On August 26, 2009 the event we have been waiting for a long time took place at Izhevsk State Technical University: the new ten-storey educational-laboratory building was opened, the construction works had lasted for 8 years and were completed in summer 2009.

Germany is getting closer
	A delegation of specialists in the field of social work with teenagers and youth from Germany visited Izhevsk State Technical University on the 8th of July.

ISTU-Hungary: time-proved relations
	In the late May – early June 2009 the Rector of ISTU Boris Yakimovich and Vice-Rector for Education Alexander Elensky visited Hungary. It was an official visit, required for the extension of agreements with Hungarian partner universities.

News of Privolzhsky Cluster University “Automobile Manufacturing”

On 16 June, 2009 the third official meeting of members of the Association Privolzhsky Cluster University (PCU) “Automobile Manufacturing” was hosted by Izhevsk State Technical University. Representatives of seven universities of Privolzhsky region training specialists in automobile manufacturing were discussing what steps need to be taken for the formation and development of new united educational structure.

We need to work together
	On June 2009 Izhevsk was visited by the delegation from Italy. During a week tour of Italian delegation to the capital of Udmurtia the guests also visited ISTU.

"Motion and Power Transmissions – 2009"
	Researchers of Izhevsk State Technical University (ISTU) participated in the JSME International Conference on Motion and Power Transmissions, MPT2009-Sendai, which was held in Matsushima, Japan on May 13-15, 2009.
